Kids Are a Trip

Cancun is known for its natural beauty. When recommending activities for children to do in the area, Kids Are a Trip suggests checking out some of Mexico’s geological wonders. Spend the day at one of Cancun’s beautiful beaches, like Playa Tortuga. Since the waves are shallow, kids can spend the day splashing and playing in the sand. Children can also take a dip in the nearby cenotes, which are natural swimming pools. Doj Ojos, Cenote Azul, and Grand Cenote are among some of the most popular ones. As the blog notes, older kids may enjoy a visit to Cozumel to snorkel at El Cielo beach. It’s about two hours away from Cancun, but worth the trip to get up close and personal with starfish and stingrays. With this blog, you’ll find no shortage of things to do in Cancun with kids! Micki, from The Barefoot Nomad, disputes the fact that Cancun is only a party destination. As she notes, there are plenty of things to do in Cancun with kids. Take the little ones to Xcaret Park, a massive complex where they can explore an on-site water park, Mayan ruins, and interactive exhibits. Afterward, you can eat at a local restaurant like La Casa de Los Abuelos, which has a kid’s room supervised by qualified nannies. Kids who aren’t old enough to snorkel but still want to enjoy the experience can also try the Subsee Explorer, a yellow submarine tour offered by Aquaworld Cancun. For rainy or sweltering days, consider taking the kids to Las Americas Mall, where they can play in the arcade or catch a subtitled movie. Read more here!
