Still wondering where to stay in Cartagena with kids? If a hotel stay doesn’t sound up your alley, there are plenty of other places to stay in Cartagena with kids. You can find great options on VRBO/Homeaway, OASIS, Houfy, Vacation Soup, and Airbnb. Neighborhoods vary in terms of style and size of apartments, but most complexes have pools and some outdoor communal space. However, gyms are not as common and central air is rare.

If you do want to book an apartment, we suggest staying in La Boquilla, a beachy neighborhood just a few miles away from the Old City. You’ll still get access to Cartagena’s best attractions, without all the overwhelming crowds. Regardless of which neighborhood you choose, be sure to ask for the RNT number of the apartment and verify it on the Registro Nacional de Turismo
