Besides colorful pools and tunnels filled with natural gas and water, ruins include an ancient theatre, baths, and workshops. Kids can dip in the Antique Pool all year round, aka Cleopatra’s pool! Or, head to the Pamukkale Thermal Baths, a great place to relax after a busy day. 

Just remember that some places might be crowded during peak seasons. After spending the day in Pamukkale, drive to nearby Kusadasi and transfer to your hotel. It’s easier to stay overnight in Kusadasi because more accommodation options exist. 

Option 4: Antalya to Kaş with Stops in Chimera & Myra

Families can also consider driving from Antalya to Kaş, a lovely town on the southwest coast of Turkey. The journey is absolutely beautiful, and the kids will love seeing all the amazing sights along the way.

On the way, stop to explore the ruins of Chimera, an ancient city that was destroyed by an earthquake in the 4th century BC. It’s a must-see for its unique rock formations and stunning views. Then, it’s off to Myra, where you can see the world’s largest outdoor relief carving at the Lycian Tombs.

Finally, you’ll arrive in Kaş, one of Turkey’s most beautiful coastal towns. Here, you can relax on the beach – there’s Kaputas Beach located directly in the city. Or, about an hour away, families can also visit Patara Beach, one of the most famous in Turkey! Families can also take a boat tour or visit the various shops and restaurants in town. Certainly, if you are planning a two-week itinerary for Turkey with kids, this is an excellent option for sightseeing, as well as a little time on the sea.
