Take a Luxury Catamaran Whale Watching through Cabo Adventures here!

Get a glimpse of stunning wildlife by whale watching in Cabo San Lucas! Kids will love witnessing this massive creature’s migration from Alaska. There are plenty of companies to choose from in Cabo San Lucas, including Cabo Trek, Cabo Adventures, or Cabo Expeditions. On the tour, children can also learn educational facts about whales. Get up close and personal on a speedboat through one of the many tour operators! Plus, families may even have a chance to spot sea lions. Most of the tours last about two hours and are suitable for children ages five and older. Do your research before you go, however. Most reputable companies can’t promise whales, but keep your fingers crossed! When researching, be sure you’re comfortable with their safety precautions and know what to expect. Doing research in advance ensures even more fun enjoying one of the top kid-friendly things to do in Los Cabos!

Take a Tour with Cabo Adventures

Reserve a Camel Outback Adventure tour with Cabo Adventures through Viator here!

We recommend Cabo Adventures for family-friendly tour experiences. First, discover incredible desert terrain atop a camel with a camel tour in Los Cabos! Kids are introduced to the camels by name. Then, they’ll receive instructions to become comfortable with the animal and understand the tour’s expectations. Finally, kids will be delighted by riding the camels across the beach! It’s truly a once in a lifetime experience. Helpful guides educate riders about the local wildlife beyond the camels, as well. Overall, the tour lasts around three hours. And, it ends with a multi-course Mexican lunch and some tequila sampling for adults! Check out the ‘know before you go’ information and the packing list supplied by Cabo Adventures on the booking site. Children ages 5 and older are able to participate.

Additionally, Cabo Adventures offers opportunities to swim with dolphins in Los Cabos. Offering a variety of tour experiences, families looking to meet trainers and engage with these amazing creatures are sure to find an option that fits their budget and interest. It is worth nothing that their dolphin centers, located in Cabo San Lucas and San José del Cabo, have received the Humane Conservation™ certification. Partnering with the American Humane Association ensures that animals at Cabo Dolphin are given high-quality care and respect, as well as ensuring the highest level of animal welfare.

Book this popular Glass Bottom Boat Tour to the Arch in Cabo San Lucas through Viator here!

Lands End is the most famous landmark in Los Cabos! Located at Cabo San Lucas‘s southern tip, families frequent this kid-friendly thing to do in Los Cabos due to its picturesque panoramas, calm waters, and white sand beach. Ask someone for directions on Medano Beach, and head past Pelican Rock. This is where you’ll come upon the Arch. Appreciate its natural beauty in awe. Then, book a tour with a glass-bottom boat to explore this area by the sea! Kids will marvel at the never-ending ocean floor, flourishing with all types of marine life. Spot anything from whales and sea lions to schools of multi-colored fish! Stay until sunset for the whole Lands End experience. This iconic arch also provides an amazing family photo opportunity. With so much to offer, it’s no wonder that Lands End is one of the best things to do in Los Cabos with kids!

What Our Families Say

When visiting Cabo San Lucas, make sure to take one of the local dinghies scattered around Medano beach out to the famous Land End. It is a cool photo op, along with the Sea Lions that inhabit a rock near the Arch. Even better, try to find one with a Glass bottom so you can see the Ocean life!

Learn more about Mexican artisan production at The Glass Factory in Cabo San Lucas! Kids will delight in witnessing skilled workers make incredible glass creations from just a few recyclable bottles. Additionally, you can learn more about how the technique is a sustainable practice for locals. Then, put your knowledge to the test. Spend the rest of your time blowing glass! Kids will delight at forming animals from funny shapes and colors. Afterward, you can even stop by the gift shop and buy a few souvenirs for the road. Be sure to visit in the morning if you want an authentic glimpse at the production process. Most activity dies down after 2:00 pm. Admission is free; however, please note there are no demonstrations on Sundays. Families can book official tours to see the property, or you can visit solo. San Jose del Cabo has amazing artistic treasures waiting to be discovered! Now, families can make a night out of it with the San Jose Artwalk, happening every Thursday from November through June. From 5 pm to 9 pm, San Jose’s gallery district transforms into an open-air museum, inviting art lovers to stroll and visit various galleries and discover paintings or sculptures they’ve probably never seen before. It’s a great way to spend the night as a family and for kids to blow off steam by making their way through hundreds of galleries and artisan shops. In addition to fine art, there are also authentic handicrafts sourced from all over Mexico, perfect for souvenirs to bring home! And, after it’s all over, the neighborhood is home to some of the best restaurants and bars in San Jose, making it a win-win. Grab dinner and buy some trinkets for the road!

What Our Families Say

The Thursday night Art Walk in San Jose del Cabo is one of my most favorite things to do in Los Cabos with kids! The vibe is sophisticated, but chill, and you can view top notch work from local artists.
