Prices are usually regulated, and bigger emirates such as Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah have their own departments of transport that run the taxi services; taxi fares vary from emirate to emirate. Smaller emirates like Fujairah, Umm Al Quwain, and Ras Al Khaimah don’t have as extensive of a public transport system as larger emirates like Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah. However, they have taxi services.
